Durban – Manchester United manager, Sir Alex Ferguson, confirmed that his interest in Arsenal striker Robin van Persie. However, he did not want to talk much about Van Persie chance of coming to Old Trafford.
BBC reports, Manchester United is one of three clubs who have bid Van Persie, but Juventus and Manchester City. Figures submitted bids three clubs were reportedly in the range of 15 million pounds, although the Arsenal are believed to not be off the player for less than 30 million pounds.
MU bid for Van Persie is justified by Fergie. He also knew that there were other clubs interested in Dutch international striker.
“Of course the fact that Arsenal have gotten us to bid for him (Van Persie),” said Ferguson told MUTV.
“We try to maintain as close as possible to our business until we reach an agreement. It is no use talking about something that might not happen,” he added.
“There are other clubs who are also attracted to the players. We have shown an interest and that’s where we are today,” he stated.
