Mancini Hope To Pizarro

MANCHESTER – Manchester City get the official AS Roma midfielder David Pizarro on loan until the end of the season. City boss Roberto Mancini Pizarro when he coached at Inter Milan and together they won the scudetto in 2006.

 

The Chilean international midfielder joined Roma in 2006. Together Giallorossi, Pizarro appeared in 142 appearances this season but he did not have a place under the tutelage of Luis Enrique and only recorded seven appearances.

 

“He’s a good quarterback, he has the experience and I know him well,” Mancini said as quoted by the BBC, Wednesday (01/02/2012). “I hope he can help us, ‘please Mancini.

 

Pizarro arrived in Italy in 1998 and from Santiago to join Udinese for five years before landing to Inter Milan.

 

While in Rome, Pizarro, who did not have any family relationship with Claudio Pizarro, won two Italian Cups and one Italian Super Cup.

 

Before proposing to Pizarro, Mancini often expressed concerns about the lack of coatings in the midfield sector. Citizens now lost Yaya Toure who had to defend his country Ivory Coast in African Nations Cup 2012 in Gabon and Equatorial Guinea.
