Kuala Lumpur – Roberto Mancini has warned Mario Balotelli is no longer valid for the controversial on next season. The Italian manager is hoping Balotelli can be more mature in the field
Last season, Balotelli recorded a few times a controversial act that led to the punishment. Ex-Inter Milan striker was sent off twice last season, one each in games against Liverpool and Arsenal.
In January, Balotelli was caught on camera stepping on the face of Scott Parker who was dropped when City face Tottenham Hotspur. His actions were, Balotelli then sentenced to as much as four-game ban.
Balotelli’s behavior had made Mancini upset. Managers who last season led the Citizens won the English League has ever threatened not to play Balotelli in the remaining matches in the league.
But behind his bad attitude, Mancini believes that Balotelli is a great striker. Mancini was sure if the Italian international striker could improve his behavior, he could be better in the field.
“Mario is one of the best strikers in Italy because we do not have, at this time, another striker like. I think every time he plays well, as he did in the Euro, it is important to her because it helped him with his behavior,” Mancini said as quoted by the Mirror .
“Hopefully he can understand that, if he improve his behavior, he could be better at his job. With his national team is an important player, but for us he is also an important player,” said 47-year manager.
“We spent a lot of money for him, he’s young and I think he’s got a great future at Manchester City. It is all dependent on him, whether he will continue to mature in the way. He’s got everything.”
“If he understands he can not do what he did last season against Arsenal and Tottenham and only think about football, he can be very good,” he concluded.
