Santander fire Cuper

SANTANDER – It’s over Racing Santander patience to Hector Raul Cuper. Following the 1-2 defeat of Malaga on Monday (28/11/2011), Santander finally decided to fire Cuper because under the former coach of Valencia and Inter are they now only be a caretaker in La Liga.

 

So, Cuper became the second coach in La Liga who was fired after Michael Laudrup with Mallorca.

 

In his official statement, the club is based in El Sardinero Stadium Cuper’s performance feels far from expectations.

 

“Real Racing Club and coach Hector Cuper has agreed to terminate the cooperation ties. The team is facing a problem and best solution to overcome this is by severing ties of cooperation between the club and the coach, “said a statement from Santander.

 

Together with theis 56 years old coach, Santander only won once from 13 matches. They had beaten Barcelona and Atletico Madrid 0-3 0-4. Cuper itself originally contracted until the end of this season. The club has so far not decided to choose a new coach.
